The fuzzy cardigans make me warm and the skirts are super. And that knit striped sweater makes my heart sing.
Log in to replythose photos were all kinds of gorgeous, and WAS THAT A PURPLE LEATHER SKIRT??!!
Log in to replyMohair cardigans. So good. Courtney Love/ Kurt Cobain 90s grunge memories. And Empire Records.
Log in to replyDude, I watched Empire Records and that mohair cardigan made me think of Liv Tyler.
Btw, I also LOVE Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain’s grunge style. Thankfully, the ’90s are coming back again.
Log in to replyThoughts: I need a lollipop, a phone booth, a tiara, a sash.
Log in to replyNumber sixteen makes me think of the movie jawbreaker(: I love the sweater with the rainbow flowers on it, makes me want to crochet!
Log in to replyMan, I am in love IN LOVE with the styling, clothes, location and concept. I also adore Petra’s photographs; every time I take a look at them, it feels as if it’s something personal. Something worth treasuring. That’s why I love Petra Collins – she is a constant inspiration of mine.
Although I only saw the Jawbreaker trailer, the clothes made me think of Rose McGowan and her posse. Plus, I can definitely see the influence of Hole’s “Miss World” music video (i.e. Courtney Love’s “Miss World” sash and tiara) and Heathers (i.e. the HUGE, gi-normous shoulder pads and checked jacket). This photo shoot is one of the BEST ones I’ve ever seen other than Hometown Heroes.
P.S. It just evokes so much nostalgia for those ’80s and ’90s movies and pop culture.
Log in to replyoh man petra…. these are a one ton stunner bunch o fotos.

Log in to replyLoving the jawbreaker vibes!
Log in to replyI really like your photographs petra, they’re great. awesome pants btw!
Log in to replyI love these photos. So angst ridden and ethereal. The sweaters and the hair are very 1970s. The atmosphere reminds me of the Virgin Suicides. I could imagine these girls could be some of Lisbon sisters’ friends…
Log in to replyDo you want to tell us stories with your photoshoots, or is it the human brain that force us to believe there is a story in every one of it? (well, of course I can interprete it as a story anyway.)
Log in to replyThese all speak to me. Perfect.
Log in to replyWow, those are just perfect! I love the colours and it just makes me want a lolly. Now. Love the shoes from picture nr. 17 sooo much.
