Well hello there. Next month's theme is IMITATION. We're looking for written and visual work that has to do with mimicry, replication, re-enactment, dramatization, novelization, repetition. Not to mention: camouflage, fakes, counterfeits, “authenticity,” “reality.” Send your stuff here, and thanks. ♥

Great photographs!
Log in to replyCool. I think I’d really enjoy this movie. I imagine it’d be the type of movie you’d watch during a rainy autumn after coming back from thrifting or grocery shopping or something. Just watching it in an itchy sweater.
Agh…I’m thinking of a movie this kind of reminds me of, but I just can’t think of the title. Like, I have a feeling. I don’t really know what I’m saying.
Greatness, Petra. Always love your shoots.
Log in to replyThis is such a beautifully executed idea!
Log in to replyWhat a nice collection of pictures, they would make a great movie

The styling of these photos is like if Margot Tenenbaum and Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless mind had a friggin awesome love child.
Beautiful eye candy canes (festive candy, wooh!) My eyes be gettin fat from all dem sweets.
Log in to replyobsessed with the library shots, number 5 is so intriguing. love it!
Log in to replyBeautiful photos! Love the colours and clothes too.
I don’t know why, but really makes me think of Submarine, though i feel this film would be far more serious than Submarine!
Log in to replyEva looks so much like Lady Gaga in stills 1&12!!!
These are great, i think #3 is amazing, i really something about public libraries, but i don’t know what…
Log in to replyI would watch this movie! These are beautiful photos. Im absolutely in love with them.
Log in to replyThis is brilliant. The pictures are so believable and when I look at them, they play out into a little film in my mind. It reminds me of La Jetée, a french (post-apocalytpic time travel) film from 1962, which is made up entirely of black and white still images, with a beautiful french narration and spooky music. It’s awesome, so awesome that i did my Science Fiction unit English speech about it. It is crazy how much movement is created without actual moving images. I recommend everyone watch it, and it would be so cool if, Petra, you could turn your beautiful images into something like this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTFzA5HsIbs
Log in to replythis would be an amazing movie :D great shots!
Log in to replyI don’t know why the last picture spoke a lot to me.
Log in to replyGreat idea, agree with Sedgwick.
Log in to replyThis SHOULD be a constant section – but it also should be more original or personal.
It’s ok to be inspired by things, but this is a bit too derivative from icons we already know and love (also thanks to RookieMag) like The Royal Tenenbaums/Ghost World/Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind, isn’t it?
Keep developing!
this might sound reallyyyy strange, but it reminds me a little bit of ‘paris, texas’?
Log in to replyThat’s the EXACT colour of hair dye I’m looking for, where is it from?!?

Log in to replyShe looks so much like lady gaga.
Log in to replyAnd I really want to watch this movie.
In 1, 2, 5, 6, 10 and 12 Eva looks very Lady Gaga-ish. The makeup around the eyes especially. And the pink hair and long face.
Log in to replyI absolutely love these pics, especially #3. :) Her fur coat reminds me of Margot Tenebaum’s (loving today’s background btw).
Log in to replyI should use the last one as inspiration for a story of my own… What’s happened to this girl? Where’s she going now?
Log in to replyThis is beautiful! Incredible beautiful.
Log in to replyTHIS IS SHIT!
Not really! I LOVE THESE!
Perfect in every way! Petra, u slay me! Keep it up!

Log in to replyThis actually reminds me of Tel Aviv, for some reason.
Log in to replyIs it based on any particular movie?
These photographs really tell a story. From the styling and poses that Eva and Madelyne created to the shots Petra did. Actually this is how I think when I’m rooming around. Nice work!
Log in to replyI wish I could watch this movie
