Log in to replyI might especially love the bacon-esque (breakfasty?) Cosby sweater.
there’s definitely some eggs and bacon and doughnuts going on in this sweater.
Log in to replyMy favorite is the Christmas Sweater. The Cosby Sweater is cool, too, but it reminds me of bacon somehow.
Log in to replyIf I could eat this post I would. And it would taste delicious.
Log in to replyThe Argyle: If only I’d been wearing something with an argyle pattern on it! I could be like, Prime Minister of Australia by now :-))
The Cable Knit: grandpa fishes?
Log in to replyHoly shit, nailed it!
Log in to replyThis reminds me of Taylor-Ruth, thisishangingrockcomics.tumblr.com, when she judges people based on their shoes, backpacks, etc. But she doesn’t judge them in a negative way. If you know her you know what I mean! :)
Log in to replyso true!
Log in to replyahhhhck!!! I love this. I was just doing a massive un-pack from a six-week work sojourn and it was two suitcases of sweaters..adding to the..other sweaters. SWEATERS RULE. But i was shaking my head. Too many. I mostly have angora. the furrier, the better..and vintage cashmere cardigans..the ones from Scotland. Digressing. OH! but i did notice that ‘curling sweaters’ and Cowichan sweaters (always) are hugely popular right now. again. at least across Canada.
Log in to replyhahahahhaa
Log in to replyThe Cosby sweater reminds me of breakfast. Bacons, eggs and baked beans :)
Log in to reply‘girls who look like they probably never poop’
Log in to replyMR ROGERS!!!!!!! I MISS HIM SO MUCH! I WAS DEVASTATED WHEN HE DIED!!!!! :(
Log in to replyI guess I’m a grandma-librarian…(sobs quietly in corner)
Log in to replyOh well, now I have an excuse to get fifty seven cats and eat a tube of ice cream while watching reruns of All My Children.
And apparently I’m Mr. Rogers.
Log in to replyWhere do they sell ballerina sweaters? They look so cute! …Although I occasionally poop so it might not be my thing.
Log in to replyObnoxious sweaters were all my seventh-grade health teacher wore. :D Nailed it.
Log in to replyas an actual ballerina, i can tell you for sure that wearing one of those things makes you look absolutely ridiculous. we prefer baggy sweatshirts, thank you very much. a true dancer looks just as graceful in sweats as a tutu.
Log in to reply…Mr Rogers died? And… ALL of my seventh grade health teachers have worn Christmas Sweaters. Or Easter Sweaters. Or Lent (?) Sweaters. Or some Christian-related sweater. Even the guys. I might have gotten the holidays wrong though, I’m Jewish.
Log in to replyand im wearing a cable knit. And I am not a fishing grandfather, but aparently I look like one. great.
Log in to replyso that’s why i’ve been wanting to go fishing so badly… and boy, i really need to invest in an argyle sweater. ANYTHING that will make me motivated, even a placebo sweater, is ok with me.
Log in to replyCardigans. Also seen on a moody 90′s rock star.

I wear a flannel shirt I stole from my brother and an oversized cardigan as I listen to MTV Unplugged Nirvana a lot…
It’s cold in the midwest in the winter … and Kurt Cobain is one of my biggest heros. ever.
(fun note: linking the description of the cardigan with the legendary image of Kurt Cobain led me to imagine Mr. Rogers listening to grunge… still not sure how I feel about that)
Log in to replyI think the most edgy Rogers got was Yo Yo Ma. Flannel was a Grunge staple, which was inspired by Cobain. Washington state is pretty cold too :D

Log in to replyThis is pretty much spot on!
Except in England, college jumpers are worn by pretentious 12yr olds who have seen too many episodes of Glee and PE teachers who studied at the ‘University Of Leeds’…
http://www.rockhatesmiriam.blogspot.com
Log in to replyi have the best Christmas jumper ever; huge, red with a tree and cat on it and lots of ugly lurex details. My mum used to be a knitwear designer and every time she sees me in it she practicly vomits.
Log in to replyAnd I love it all the more because of that.
OMG those drawings are so good. I’m an art student and I wish I could draw for a website as cool as Rookie.
Log in to replyAh the ironic christmas sweater day at school… the very few non-Christian (and therefore, usually, non-christmas-sweater-owning) students at my high school all wear our everyday cardigans (as worn by Neville when he kills Nagini in the 8th Harry Potter movie) and college tshirts (we’ll spring for the sweatshirt when we get in). Aren’t we the ones being ironic at this point? Yes? Shhhhhh. I’m just going to go with yes.
Log in to replyThe best sweaters are ones made from a special material… love :D
