Hello, you. June’s theme will be LONGING. Unlike more-acute forms of desire like desperation or need, longing is a sweet ache—more pining for something than dying for it. It’s nostalgia, homesickness, boredom, a persistent feeling of lack, dreaming of escape/the future. It’s summer: summer homes & cottages, stuffy summer bedrooms, sun-bleached memories of summers past. The shadow of September that hangs over June. It’s secret hangouts, crushes, unrequited love. Send what you’ve got here, and thanks. ♥

Log in to replyLiterally what I was thinking, let’s be jealous together.
Log in to replyExactly. I was thinking something along the lines of “Does she really live a life that’s always this exciting”?
Log in to replyI love number 11! You can really feel the warm summernight-air through the picture…
Log in to replyI really do not like this style of photos at all. I’m such a photography snob!!
I like #13 though…
Log in to replyI don’t know about whether this is “photography” but these photos definitely fit the “exploration” theme to a tee. some of them (in this context) are wicked. good work.

Log in to replyhow is this not photography? photography can span a million different sub genres…
Log in to replyI think the fact that it’s more like “snapshots” as opposed to an “artistic photo”, which takes in to consideration lighting, white balance, composition, all that…. what people are used to seeing when thinking about “PHOTOGRAPHY” as an artistic expression..
This is still photography! :D
Log in to replyBy this logic, any candid photographs, lots of music photography, wouldn’t be “photography”…
Log in to replydis is ohwsum.
Log in to replyNot only is this “real” photography, it is dope! Transported me to the moment. What kind of camera did you use???
Log in to replythanx babe!! i used a canon eos a2 for most of these shots!
Log in to replyolivia, do you use something like photoshop to make your photo’s look analog? (i could ask this in dutch, but i guess there are more people who want to know this :)!)
Log in to replyi think your photography is beautiful. it sort of idealizes and makes beautiful every-day activities. gives weight to them, or something. been following your photography on your blogspot pre-rookie! haters gon’ hate, gurl.

It makes me really excited when I know some of these people. Are you from Portland?
Log in to replyThese photos are amazing. They definatley have that retro sort of polaroid-ish feel or something. Did you use any editing platform to make it look like that? How much was your camera? What kind?
