Other than listening to Arcade Fire’s album The Suburbs all the way through, these are the songs I’ve had the best times walking around my neighborhood to. I like ones with a really good walking beat especially. Finding the right music to walk to can be one of the best things and very useful in blocking out the sound of cars and people (daring to invade your dream world!!!). You’ll also find that the best songs for gray rainy days don’t tend to fit the sunny spring days. But that just means more music to search for! So go out! Explore your neighborhood. And find the songs that fit.

Log in to replyWas expecting to see Walkabout by Atlas Sound & Panda Bear. I guess it’s not really a walking song. I love walking to Blister In The Sun by the Violent Femmes when I’m happy. (because I feel like angela chase)

Log in to replythis is the mot perfect playlist I’ve ever seen! It’s like you listed all of my favorite songs omg I LOVE YOU xxccdf
Log in to replyNaomi, we are in MANY ways, the same person. Lovely mix, although i would add Walkabout by Atlas Sound and Suburban Dogs by Real Estate.
Log in to replyMy favourite walking-around-the-neighbourhood songs are Liar Liar by The Castaways and Little Green Bag by George Baker. It’s pretty fitting as I live in the neighbourhood where they filmed Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. They don’t really have that much of a walking beat, but I prefer to shuffle down the street anyways.
