Log in to replyThese photos are really lovely! Are they in detention or something like that in number 8? Or that only exists in movies? (that’s probably a stupid question but there’s no detention where I live so I wanted to know. Where I live is also the explanation for my lousy engilsh. Sorry).
In my area detention is called In School Suspension. I’m pretty sure it starts with lunch detention, then as infractions or severity escalates so does the length of ISS, until the person is suspended and are not allowed on the schools premises, then expulsion.

Log in to replyI love Petra’s work, especially the last photo. “Disappear Here” has always been one of my favorite phrases- such a loaded slogan utilized in both idyllic postcard photos as well as in the more grim sense like in Less Than Zero. Sums up high school perfectly.

The picture with “don’t forget to smile” is by far my favorite one! And I love this photoshoot way much more than the one from the day before because it deals with something we all know, meaning school.
