Hello, you. June’s theme will be LONGING. Unlike more-acute forms of desire like desperation or need, longing is a sweet ache—more pining for something than dying for it. It’s nostalgia, homesickness, boredom, a persistent feeling of lack, dreaming of escape/the future. It’s summer: summer homes & cottages, stuffy summer bedrooms, sun-bleached memories of summers past. The shadow of September that hangs over June. It’s secret hangouts, crushes, unrequited love. Send what you’ve got here, and thanks. ♥

Log in to reply#3-4 are beautiful!!
I’m curious, did you use double exposure to take these or did you edit them digitally afterwards?
If it’s double exposure, I would really love some tips because I tried to do it with my last roll of film and it didn’t work out at all, and I don’t want to ruin another roll!! Much love
Log in to replyit’s double exposed. i have a camera (the olympus infinity junior) that rewinds with a tab sticking out and you can just feed it right back! on an slr you should be able to just rewind it a frame if the camera is all manual. best of luck bb <3

Log in to replyThese are incredible, Olivia! I especially love 3 and 4 as well. Just wonderful. Reminds me so much of the darker, haunted side of LA.

Hey, I tried to post already but I think I did something wrong…sorry if this is a re-post. :P
Anyway, these are incredibly gorgeous! I was wondering if you shot each photo, rolled back the film and then shot the second exposure, or if you used up the entire roll of film and then went back and shot over it. I have an Olympus OM-2 and apparently it’s quite difficult to shoot double exposures on them…although I haven’t dared to try yet.
