It’s summer: summer homes & cottages, stuffy summer bedrooms, sun-bleached memories of summers past. The shadow of September that hangs over June. It’s secret hangouts, crushes, unrequited love. And then when I go back the next day, it’s like “what the heck was I thinking, this looks like macaroni art made by a kindergartener.” I have been getting better, though, so it’s something that gets easier with practice.
