Hello, you. June’s theme will be LONGING. Unlike more-acute forms of desire like desperation or need, longing is a sweet ache—more pining for something than dying for it. It’s nostalgia, homesickness, boredom, a persistent feeling of lack, dreaming of escape/the future. It’s summer: summer homes & cottages, stuffy summer bedrooms, sun-bleached memories of summers past. The shadow of September that hangs over June. It’s secret hangouts, crushes, unrequited love. Send what you’ve got here, and thanks. ♥

Log in to replyYes yes yes! I love the Mount Wilson Observatory!!
Log in to reply(and, you know, snow and Robert Mapplethorpe)
kevin shields :*
Log in to replyaaah I got the 331/3 book on Loveless for christmas and 98% of it is Kevin Shields’ commentary. The book in whole is surprisingly heartbreaking, and Kevin discussing stereo vs mono (in my head in a soft, morose tone) only augments it.
Log in to replyThis is so perfect! <3
Log in to replyalso I live near the mount Wilson observatory :)
Yeah ALIENS! Rodarte is just so amazing <33

Log in to replyAfter reading Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man and most of Dubliners, I’m still not much of a Joyce person but maybe Ulysses will be what pushes me to like him more…
