In this photo album, Allyssa and her best friend, Jake, document their relationship, which is going on six years now.
Notes in pink (and their accompanying photos) are by Alyssa; notes in black (and photos) are Jake’s.
Jake Sigl is an NYC-based artist whose work blends documentary with fantasy. He’s interested in gender issues, performance, and identity.

These pictures made me think about my best friend Smiffy! Although comparatively I haven’t known him that long these photos make me remember all the good times we’ve had, like hanging out at the station in my village on the hottest and coldest days of the year, and all the good times still to come :)

I’ve compiled all the text message conversations me and my significant-other-male-best-friend -forever-soul-connection and I have ever had and have been making them into a little multi-media project for my school’s media festival! I feel like I was sharing the experience with them and I didn’t want the slide to be over but it did :( It was a really strange feeling, when you see somebody’s handwriting it’s like you see them, reading something in handwriting is so important. And the photos, they were so beautiful and when they explain the situations on photos I felt like I’m living the same memories with them. It was magical. And also, this is literally the best friendship ever.
